I enjoyed reading your article on midterms vs quarterlies. As student government Academic Committee chair I actually met with the IIC(all the teacher department heads and administration)in November and then a small committee of three department heads last week with these very thoughts in mind. I requested that any student with an A average for the year be exempt from finals. I went back and forth with many different proposals. I can at this point tell you that quarterlies will never happen and no student (other than seniors) will ever have the exemption privilege. They are however, willing to come to a compromise as to how the final exams are administered. At an undecided date in the near future I am going to have a academic meeting inviting any student who wishes to attend so that we can come up with ideas to bring back to the IIC.

Student government passed “Wildcat Radio” a radio show hosted by myself and Steve Piskai every Thursday during advisory. The show consists of two songs and a script including shout-outs or congratulations to high school activities or persons, updates on student government and class cup, and a ‘Joke of the Week’.
